Founder Kim, a proud Mississippi Delta native, grew up watching her single mother’s military career take their family across the country, exposing her to diverse cultures, spices, and cuisines. But it wasn’t until she moved in with her grandmother, Cassandra, that her true love for cooking took root. There, she learned that great meals start with one thing: flavor first, always.
While Southern cooking remains at the heart of So Sweet, So Savory, Kim’s time visiting her father on the East Coast expanded her palate to embrace bold, global influences—African, Latin, and Asian flavors that reimagine traditional soul food with creative twists.
