So Sweet, So Savory Kitchen was born out of heritage, heart, and a hunger to connect people through unforgettable flavor. I’m a proud Mississippi Delta native raised by a single mother, whose military career and love for environment change took our family across the country and introduced me to cultures, spices, and dishes from every corner of the map. However, my true love for cooking didn’t spark until I moved in with my grandmother. Watching her and her siblings pour love, stories, and soul into every meal gave me my foundation: flavor first, always.

Though Southern cooking is at my core, my time spent visiting my dad on the East Coast opened my palate to fusion—African, Latin, and Asian influences that helped me reimagine traditional soul food with bold, global twists.

I started So Sweet, So Savory Kitchen in 2020, like many of us did—looking for purpose, passion, and a way to feed others during uncertain times. What began with small events, like graduations and engagement parties, has now grown into something much bigger. Today, we offer full-service catering for weddings and corporate events, curated pop-up experiences, and personal chef services that bring the flavor to your table—wherever you are.

At SSSS, we’re more than just a kitchen. We’re a journey—from the Delta to the District, and everywhere in between. And every bite tells a story.
